Dana White reacts to WHCD shooting incident
In a conversation with USA Today, Dana White shared his experience of the WHCD shooting, describing it as “f**king awesome.” He revealed that upon the firing, everything around became very noisy, and tables were getting flipped. He also witnessed guys running with guns who were asking everyone to get down; however, White didn’t listen to them. “I didn’t get down. It was f—ing awesome, and I literally took every minute of it in. It was a pretty crazy, unique experience,” he elaborated.
White was invited as the guest of Paramount Skydance and revealed his seating arrangement. He said his seat was placed right in front of the head table where the president was about to be seated. “Nobody got tackled, but guys came in looking for the shooter. I thought the shooter was over by us or something,” he explained. Amid the intense moment, a Secret Service agent was struck by a bullet on his bulletproof vest; however, no injuries were caused to him.
Following the WHCD shooting, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to address the chaotic event and announce the arrest of the person, who was identified as Cole Tomas Allen, responsible for the shooting. “Quite an evening in D.C. Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we “LET THE SHOW GO ON” but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly,” he wrote.
Moreover, he also suggested that the evening would be different from what was planned, regardless of what decision is made. He also claimed that they might have to just do it again.
