Friends and family close to the Beckhams are apparently “saddened” that the fallout with Brooklyn Beckham has not yet been resolved … but no one is quite as sad about that as David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.
The Beckhams will relocate to the US for the World Cup in June
According to a Page Six source, it’s been almost a year since David and Victoria had contact with Brooklyn. And, earlier this year, he took to Instagram to post a string of shocking allegations against them.
In his internet-breaking post, Brooklyn branded his family “performative” and “inauthentic.” He also alleged that his parents had tried to “ruin” his relationship with his wife, and that his mom had danced inappropriately with him at his 2022 wedding.
Allegations aside, this source said David and Victoria had hoped to mend the relationship with their son by now. Particularly as they plan to relocate to the US ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
“Everything is frozen in place,” the insider said of how the Beckham family has been feeling since Brooklyn’s statement, adding that they are “shocked” the feud has gone on so long.
The source went on to say the Beckhams will “never give up hope” of reuniting with Brooklyn. But another insider suggested that’s just not realistic. “They’re not going to make up any time soon,” the source said of the feud.
“There were points last year when an apology [from David and Victoria] would have worked, but not now,” the insider went on.
Perhaps David and Victoria don’t think an apology is needed, however. She recently spoke out about the difficulties of parenting in the public eye. “We love our kids so much,” she told the Wall Street Journal. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be.”
