Being around Kevin Spacey was a lot for one comedian to handle. Jorma Taccone worked at Saturday Night Live for years on the program’s shorts. The Lonely Island member saw his share of celebrity guest hosts come to the set during his tenure on the show.
Jorma says that Kevin made him feel “very uncomfortable” when he was there. The Oscar-winning actor guest-hosted SNL on May 20, 2006. This was years before Kevin’s name was tarnished amid sexual assault allegations.
Comedian Jorma Taccone spoke of his SNL experience with the actor
Amid his attempt at a Hollywood comeback, Kevin’s character is once again being questioned. In an interview with The Daily Beast Podcast Obsessed, Jorma admits to geeking out when learning that Kevin would guest-host SNL. Kevin’s awe seemed to change when he saw the actor at work. “I did not enjoy that,” admitted Jorma about Kevin’s time on set. He didn’t get into specifics about what Kevin might have done to make him feel this way. Jorma said that he liked every star that got to host SNL while he was there.
Many years after that appearance on SNL, Kevin’s world was turned upside down. He was accused by over 30 men, including actor Anthony Rapp, of inappropriate behavior and sexual assault. Those claims came out in 2017. A year later, the House of Cards star was fired from that show amid those allegations.
Through the years, many people have come forward accusing Kevin of inappropriate behavior. He was found not liable in the lawsuit filed by Anthony. In 2022, he was found not guilty of allegedly assaulting four men in a London trial. Last month, he settled a sexual assault case put forward by three men.
In May 2025, Kevin received a lifetime achievement award during the 78th Cannes Film Festival. He’s appeared in several episodes of the show Minimarket.
