Megan Thee Stallion didn’t keep things quiet when her relationship with Klay Thompson came to an end, and she didn’t slow down either. On Saturday, the Grammy-winning rapper took to Instagram Stories to air her frustration, accusing the Dallas Mavericks star of cheating and calling out what she described as a difficult relationship dynamic.
Megan Thee Stallion reportedly promoted her tequila brand at nightclub after split
“Cheating… had me around your whole family playing house,” she wrote, adding that she had supported him through “horrible mood swings” during his basketball season. “Now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? Bitch I need a REAL break after this one.” Shortly after, she confirmed the breakup in a statement, making it clear she had chosen to walk away. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me,” Stallion said. “When those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Stallion stuck to her schedule when she appeared on Broadway later that evening, taking on the role of Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. The performance ended on a high note, with the audience giving her a standing ovation. At one point, a fan shouted “We love you!” prompting Stallion to turn away and wipe tears from her face before composing herself.
Just hours after leaving the stage, Stallion shifted gears again, this time stepping out for a promotional event. She arrived at Aura 57 nightclub in Midtown to support her tequila brand, Chicas Divertidas. Dressed in a bright orange jumpsuit emblazoned with the brand name, she was seen dancing and spending time with friends while keeping the focus on the business side of the night.
Stallion and Thompson had gone public with their romance last summer. It was their red carpet debut at her inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. By October 2025, the pair had taken a major step, purchasing a home together.
