The legitimacy of Saturday’s shooting incident is being questioned. Aubrey O’Day is among the skeptics who think what took place at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was nothing but an act, and a bad one at that. The alleged ex of Donald Trump Jr. gave her take on the evening’s events. The singer says the “assassination attempt” was “poorly rehearsed.”
The building had to be evacuated after shots could be heard. Cole Thomas Allen was arrested in the incident.

You can add Aubrey to the list of people not buying into the belief that Saturday’s incident was real. The former contestant on the President’s old show, Celebrity Apprentice, said on X that “They have truly cut the budget down on these productions.” The dinner was the first time President Trump attended the annual event during his time in office.
No injuries were reported among the attendees. Meanwhile, critics point out how Karoline Leavitt, who works at the White House, said ahead of the evening that “there will be some shots fired tonight.” No one, obviously, felt that she meant it literally. Some, however, believe she might have accidentally let slip what was planned for the event, suggesting the shooting was all fake.
Over the weekend, the President responded to the theories that the shooting was staged. He said he hadn’t heard of it until it came up in his 60 Minutes interview. He adds that those theorists are “more sick than they are con people.”
Another fishy part of Saturday evening for many was the security protocols. Many noted there weren’t bag checks to get in. That, for many, is standard procedure at events, especially those involving prominent political figures.
It isn’t the first time the public has questioned the legitimacy of a frightening event involving the POTUS. During his 2024 Presidential campaign, many wondered if the assassination attempt on him at a rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, was real.
