Donald Trump got roasted this week, and this time the culprit wasn’t a political rival but a classic card game. The president shared an AI-generated photo of himself clutching a hand of Uno cards. The text on the photo read, “I have all the cards.” This instantly backfired as users pointed out he fundamentally misunderstood the game.
Donald Trump trolled for posting AI photo of himself
The AI photo was posted on Truth Social and the official White House X account. It was deemed a metaphor for American leverage in the ongoing war with Iran. However, social media users tore apart the flawed analogy. The core joke is that in Uno, holding a fistful of cards is the opposite of winning.
“The goal of the game UNO is to have NO cards you f**king idiot,” one reply read, aptly putting the collective disbelief. Another user added, “I think it is just a crazy world where the President of one of the most powerful countries in the world just posts memes all the time.”
The pile-on continued as others rewrote the caption to reflect geopolitical reality. One post stated, “Israel has all your cards is what you mean.” A critic summed up the general sentiment, noting, “This is the perfect post because it shows his ignorance as to the game he’s playing. As usual, Trump is clueless and doesn’t know it.”
The controversial post came as the White House announced Project Freedom. This is a military initiative for escorting commercial vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated the operation would begin on Monday and involve guided-missile destroyers, more than 100 aircraft, and 15,000 service members. Iran, in response, warned that they will attack “any foreign armed forces, especially the aggressive US army,” if they approached the Strait.
The waterway’s effective closure began after the U.S. and Israel launched military action on February 28. It has severely disrupted global energy markets.
