BDDU’s Captain Jason Chambers Does Not Tolerate ‘Disrespect’ as Mike Durrant Is Given His Walking Papers

Captain Jason Chambers is an incredibly fair boss on Below Deck Down Under. But even he has his limits. To help set a professional tone, Captain Jason refuses to tolerate “disrespect” from any of his crew members. So, when Mike Durrant popped off on Daisy Kelliher, he had no choice but to cut Mike loose from Season 4.

Episode 14 was a doozy. Mike kept winding up Jenna Woudberg. So, Jenna ran to Daisy for support. However, Mike also gave Daisy grief, and as a result, he ultimately lost his job.

To rehash this whole mess, Daisy found Mike and asked, “Mike, what the f*ck? What did I say about winding people up?” But instead of backing down, Mike lied, suggesting, “I haven’t said anything.” So, Daisy punished him by saying, “Okay, you’re working until 9 pm tonight.”

Even still, Mike and his hair stood firm, arguing, “We’ll see about that,” followed by a clarifying, “I said I’m not working till 9 pm tonight.” So, a fully activated Daisy told him to “Get off the boat.” Mike did as asked. Meanwhile, Daisy went to the wheelhouse to speak with Captain Jason.

“He’s had enough chances. Sometimes, lessons have to be learned the hard way,” Captain Jason told Daisy. Then, in his confessional, Captain Jason added, “This is unacceptable. I will not tolerate disrespect to my HODs.”

Shortly after, Captain Jason addressed Mike, explaining, “I’ve heard the full story from Daisy, and what it’s come down to was disrespectful to your team leader. Look, you’ve been given the warnings,” he stressed, but even still, “You think this is a bit of a joke. I won’t tolerate it. I need you to leave the boat today. I’m sending you home,” Captain Jason explained, and off Mike went.

Thankfully, Mike has since addressed his behaviors. He absolutely took things “a bit too far,” he recently admitted. Also, Mike noted, “I should have had a bit more of a mature approach.”

Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU airs on Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
