Kanye West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, is reportedly putting her law career pursuit on hold. In 2021, the businesswoman passed California’s baby bar exam, celebrating the milestone on her social media. However, she failed the official bar exam last year. Now, as per a source, Kardashian is taking a break from taking the test again.
Kim Kardashian reportedly taking a break from law exam
According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian has decided to step back from the law exams. The SKIMS co-founder didn’t take the exam in February and reportedly won’t appear in July either. Sources told the outlet that she has no plans to reappear, at least not until next year. In November 2025, Kardashian confirmed that she failed the bar exams that she had taken in July of that year.
She wrote on her Instagram story, “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet. I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.” The reality TV star further added, “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination. Additionally, she shared a video covering her preparation for the exams. While she shared she didn’t pass, Kardashian decided to remain firm in her goals. In the clip, the socialite was seen crying and said how she had dreamed of losing points in the exam due to pressure during preparation.
Moreover, Kardashian shared that she faced “disc issues” during the final leg of studying. “I’ve shared so much of this journey with you, and this summer I documented some of the final two weeks of studying — the ups, the downs, and everything in between,” she expressed in the caption. The mother of four continued, “On November 7th, I found out I didn’t pass the bar. It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there.”
