Donald Trump made a joke out of young girl’s height

The POTUS recently interacted with many kids and professional athletes at a fitness event at the Oval Office when he joked about a young girl’s height. The purpose of the ceremony was to revive the Presidential Physical Fitness test and the award in schools.

In a video from the event going viral on X (formerly Twitter), Donald Trump is seen asking the people in the office about their favorite sports. Consequently, a young girl said she likes both soccer and volleyball. She stated, “I play volleyball, and in the summer I’m trying to get into soccer.”

In his reply, Trump went on to comment on the girl’s height. He stated, “And with your height, do you smash the ball, the volleyball? Can you get up high? Can you jump high?”

While the young girl conveyed that she finds it hard to reach a good height, Trump offered her a suggestion and asserted, “Soccer might be better.” The video of their conversation started making rounds on social media. This led many people to come forward and call the President out for his joke about the girl’s height.

A user went on to comment, “Bullying a child to score cheap laughs ,this is who he is. Petty, insecure, and completely unfit for any position of leadership. Kids deserve encouragement, not humiliation from a grown man.”

Another user wrote, “Trump is a lot of things, but at the end of the day, he’s just an a*****e that wants to bring everyone around him down; he’s disgusting.” Meanwhile, a third user added, “Trump never fails to criticize young minds. He always tries his best to kill the dreams.”

Yet another user sympathized with the girl, writing, “The way my heart actually broke for her… kids should be told they can do anything, not that they’re ‘too short’ for their dreams. literally so unnecessary.”

Nevertheless, Donald Trump has yet to respond to the backlash directed at him for his comments.
