Timothée Chalamet Hypes up Knicks ‘Paul Atreides’ Style

Timothée Chalamet continues proving he is one of the New York Knicks’ biggest celebrity supporters. The actor recently shared a new Instagram carousel packed with basketball moments, including clips and photos from inside Madison Square Garden that instantly grabbed fans’ attention online.

Timothée Chalamet channels his Dune character to hype up Knicks

The “Dune” star posted several behind-the-scenes moments from the Knicks’ playoff run, including a video of himself confidently sinking a contested three-pointer on the Madison Square Garden court. Fans quickly compared his intense focus and dramatic energy to Paul Atreides, Chalamet’s iconic character from the Dune franchise.

The post also included photos of Chalamet standing near Knicks player Tyler Kolek’s locker and another image showing Karl-Anthony Towns leaning in to whisper something to the actor following New York’s dominant 137-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Knicks’ official Instagram account joined the fun in the comments section and joked, “Check your DMs we just sent you a 10-day,” referencing a temporary NBA contract often offered during the season. Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards also reacted to the post, writing, “Yea Killa.”

Chalamet has become a regular courtside fixture throughout the Knicks’ playoff campaign. He frequently attends games at Madison Square Garden alongside girlfriend Kylie Jenner and fellow celebrity fans, including Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, and Tracy Morgan.

The actor even skipped the 2026 Met Gala for the second year in a row to attend the Knicks’ playoff matchup instead. While Jenner walked the fashion’s biggest red carpet event in New York City, Chalamet remained focused on basketball and cheered on the team from the stands.

His latest social media post further fueled fans’ excitement surrounding the Knicks’ postseason run. While Chalamet is unlikely to swap acting for professional basketball anytime soon, the viral three-pointer certainly impressed fans online.

The Knicks will now look to extend their playoff momentum during Game 2 at Madison Square Garden.
