All bets were off during the roast of Kevin Hart. Arguably, the most brutal disses for the big comedy special came courtesy of Shane Gillis. The 38-year-old comic and podcaster had Chelsea Handler in his crosshairs when he took to the stage.
Shane called out the host of shows like Chelsea and Chelsea Lately, and her previous meetup with a late pedophile. Years ago Chelsea met Jeffrey Epstein at a dinner in 2010 in his Manhattan townhouse.

Chelsea can dish it out to others but can also take some heat. On the Netflix special, which came out on Sunday, Shane took his share of shots at Chelsea, labelling her as a “Zionist.” He said, “I’m not saying that’s good or bad.” He noted that she supported abortion, saying she’s been cancelled more than “the grill at Benihana.” Shane joked that Jeffrey’s party in 2010 wasn’t a big, extravagant one.
Reports suggest that Chelsea was among seven guests who attended that dinner, including Woody Allen, his wife Soon-Yi, and Katie Couric. Also, there were allegedly former Prince Andrew, George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Rose. In a 2021 interview with Rob Lowe, Chelsea said that she had no idea who Jeffrey was at that time.
While Chelsea got grilled during Shane’s set, she got her licks in at Kevin when it was her turn to take the stage. Among her requests she made was asking him if he wouldn’t mind “closing your legs.”
Knowing what we all know about Jeffrey today, Chelsea seems keen to put that infamous moment behind her, if she can help it. The shot taken at her by Shane didn’t generate any reaction from Chelsea. She fired shots back at Shane, including a jab at his Saturday Night Live firing for using anti-Asian slurs. Last year, Chelsea hosted a Netflix special called Chelsea Handler: The Feeling.
