Sebastian Stan Gets Real About Entering His ‘Dad’ Era Soon

Sebastian Stan is preparing for a major life change away from movie sets and Marvel action scenes. The actor recently confirmed that he and partner Annabelle Wallis are expecting their first child together. While promoting his latest film, Stan shared honest thoughts about becoming a father and the pressure he already feels stepping into that role.

Sebastian Stan speaks on becoming a dad soon amid girlfriend’s pregnancy

Sebastian Stan confirmed the pregnancy during a recent interview with Deadline while discussing his upcoming film Fjord. The actor said he wants to approach fatherhood seriously and admitted the responsibility already feels very real to him. “I want to be a good dad,” Stan told the outlet. He also added that becoming a parent has made him think more deeply about being “a good man” overall.

The couple first sparked romance rumors back in 2022 before slowly becoming more public over time. By 2024, their relationship was much more out in the open, and recent photos from New York showed Annabelle Wallis appearing with a noticeable baby bump.

Stan has also shared how his childhood experiences shaped the way he thinks about family and parenting. During his Golden Globes speech earlier this year, the actor gave heartfelt praise to his mother and stepfather for supporting him through difficult years after moving to the United States.

Stan also reflected on reconnecting with his biological father when he was 18. His father later died in 2021. The actor explained that at 43, he still feels like he is learning about life and understanding different perspectives. That mindset, he said, has become even more important as he prepares to raise a child.

Over the years, Stan has built one of Hollywood’s strongest modern careers. He became globally known for playing Bucky Barnes, also called the Winter Soldier, in the Marvel Studios franchise. He also earned major praise for projects like A Different Man, which won him a Golden Globe, and Pam & Tommy, where he portrayed Tommy Lee. Meanwhile, Wallis is known for projects including Peaky Blinders and the horror film Malignant.
