Jordan Klepper, the longtime correspondent of The Daily Show, has thrown shade at Donald Trump for taking a host of high-profile CEOs to his three-day state trip to China. The seasoned comedian ridiculed the President and his choice of delegates for his visit to the Asian nation, going as far as to label the whole expedition as a “bachelor party.”
The Daily Show mocks Donald Trump taking CEOs to China
In a recent episode, the veteran host poked fun at the POTUS, roasting his latest outburst against a reporter, his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, as well as his decision to bring a slew of business magnates on his China trip.
Jordan Klepper first showcased a clip of Donald Trump lashing out at a reporter after she questioned him about the ballooning cost of his ballroom. Seemingly offended by the query, he irritably replied, “I doubled the size of it, you dumb person. You are not a smart person.”
“Calm down, Mr. President. Go to your happy place. Well, not literally. That party is over, and your wingman is MIA,” Klepper quipped in response on The Daily Show. He simultaneously displayed an old picture of the President standing beside convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“The point is, I think both Trump and us could benefit from this time apart. I mean, nothing wrong with a little break. Get some distance. Reset. You know what? You can take your boys with you,” Klepper continued.
Jordan Klepper then showcased a news snippet that name-dropped the CEOs who have accompanied Donald Trump to China. Notably, the business moguls who have made the trip to Asia include Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Tim Cook, David Solomon, Larry Fink, Kelly Ortberg, and Michael Miebach, among others.
“That’s your crew? Those are your boys? Not exactly the Rat Pack here, is it?” the long-serving correspondent remarked, specifically alluding to Musk, Cook, and Huang. “That’s the kind of bachelor party that makes a stripper want to get her life back in order,” he added.
Commenting on a clip of Donald Trump deboarding the plane in Beijing, Klepper called it “not a fun flight.” Taking jabs at Tim Cook and the Tesla CEO, he said, “That is a man who spent 19 hours sitting next to Elon Musk…When do we land?’
Meanwhile, Trump departed from China on May 15, 2026, concluding his two-day visit.
