The numbers are in, and overall, they don’t look positive for Prince Harry. Ahead of what would have been his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth’s 100th birthday in April, a new poll was released. It detailed what those in Britain felt about members of the royal family, including Harry.
In 2011, his favorability rating was above 70%, but by early 2026, it had dropped to 30%. The Prince left Britain for the US in 2020. In doing so, he left royal life behind, becoming estranged from his brother and future King, Prince William, a short time after.
Prince Harry’s remaining support comes from young people

He may not be seen in a positive light by many Brits these days, but there’s one demographic that seems to appreciate him. The poll conducted by YouGov shows that the popularity of Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, took a huge dip last month.
Prior to their Australia trip, Harry’s popularity was 30%, while the Duchess’s was 20%. Harry’s brother and wife, Kate Middleton, polled very well with William at 76% and Kate just below at 75%. As for King Charles, 40% of people rated him fairly positively. That’s pretty low for the reigning monarch.
There is a thought that the estrangement between William and Harry has painted the latter more negatively. Even in September, there were still reports of ongoing tensions between them.
The best scores Harry got in the polls came from Britain’s youth. The poll says that 35% of those aged 18-24 had a positive view of Prince Harry. That’s a big jump from what those over 65 felt about him, with the Prince getting just 19% positivity from that age bracket. Meghan’s favorability in that department was at 31%.
There is still plenty of love for the late Queen, years later, but not so much for her favorite son. The numbers show that 81% of Brits are positive about the late Queen. Unsurprisingly, given his scandal, 85% of those polled see the former Prince Andrew very negatively.
