A Survivor legend is sharing news about her future on the show. Cirie Fields is considered one of, if not the best, players in the show’s history to never win. On Wednesday, she was voted off Survivor 50 in the final six by a 4-2 margin.
Her elimination marked the end of her fifth time playing the American version of the show. Besides an early exit on Heroes Vs Villains, she has made it to the finale or close to it every other time.
Will Cirie Fields ever return to Survivor for a sixth time?
Diehard Survivor fans will not want to hear this. In an interview with Dalton Ross for Entertainment Weekly, the five-time US castaway was asked if her torch being snuffed on Wednesday was the end of her Survivor career.
Cirie responded, “I absolutely feel that way.” The reality star added that, “I have received so much more than I bargained for from this 20, 21-year experience.”
In the past, not only has the casting team and crew loved Cirie, but host Jeff Probst has often spoke glowingly of her as well. In January, Cirie said she hoped to make him proud.
Cirie said in her exit interview that all she sees when people refer to her as the best to never win are those first two words. In her elimination on Wednesday, contestant Aubry Bracco said that Cirie was better than two-time winners Sandra Diaz-Twine and Tony Vlachos.
While Cirie has closed the book on a return to Survivor, she is open to playing other reality shows. “There may be a couple of things,” tease Cirie. She was previously a houseguest on Big Brother along with her son, Jared. Cirie also wound up winning The Traitors in 2023.
In addition to her appearances on US Survivor, she also appeared on an overseas version. She finished fourth on Australian Survivor V The World, losing in a fire challenge to Luke Toki. Her Fans vs. Favorites castmate Parvati Shallow won that season.
Cirie was famously advantage-voted out of Survivor Game Changers despite having no votes cast against her in the final six.
Survivor 50 will conclude on May 20 at 8/7c on CBS.
