Speaking to Woman’s Day about Nicole Kidman’s loyalty to Deborra-Lee Furness after her divorce from Hugh Jackman, an insider claimed, “Nicole’s loyalty has to be with Deb as she’s been a shoulder for her many times throughout the past three years.” Both women have weathered painful separations — Furness from Jackman in 2023 and Kidman from Keith Urban last year. Now, those similar experiences have allegedly brought them closer.
When Jackman walked the Met Gala carpet with Sutton Foster, making their debut as a couple, Kidman reportedly avoided the couple.
It’s now alleged that Kidman’s mission is to help Furness reclaim her confidence, with the insider stating, “There’s no doubt Nicole took complete control of her divorce and came out of it triumphantly.” They also explained, “She can’t bear to see her dear friend suffer any more than she has to, and she’s doing everything she can to get Deb back in charge,” which includes gentle encouragement to step back into the dating world.
However, the source claimed that Furness is “still nervous about taking that leap,” but still, “Nicole’s one of the key friends in her life helping her take that step.”
Nicole Kidman, for her part, is allegedly “not ready” to support Hugh Jackman’s relationship with Foster — although it’s also been claimed that she hopes that he can resolve things with Deborra-Lee Furness “over time” so that “she doesn’t have to exclude him from her world for too long.”
