Kendall Vertes has a lofty goal in her future. The Dance Moms alum would like to be a part of America’s team, arguably the most recognizable cheerleading squad in the world. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, known as America’s Sweethearts, have captured the attention of fans for decades.
Admittedly, Kendall has considered being part of that team for a while. She joked that that would meet her mother’s approval. Kendall’s mom Jill, was among the key players in Dance Moms from Season 2 through 7.
Kendall Vertes says a DCC gig would be her “closure”

There’s one more thing on Kendall’s dance bucket list: join America’s Team. Speaking to People, she says, “I feel like I’m destined to be a DCC cheerleader one day.” Before making that dream into a reality, though, she admits to having plenty of work to do.
Kendall says that she needs to refresh her skill set, “go back into the studio,” and attend more workshops. The 23-year-old adds that she needs to go through all of that before trying out for the cheerleading team.
The alum from Season 2 of Dance Moms doesn’t mind being on another reality show like America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. That program follows those who dance for the NFL team. She says that getting to join that elite group of female dancers “would be my closure.” Kendall adds that she wants to get back into dancing in this capacity and isn’t interested in it for the fame.
If she makes the team, Kendall stands to earn a pretty good salary, much better than those who danced for the Cowboys years ago. In June 2025, it was revealed that dancers’ salaries were increasing by 400%. Years ago, dancers reportedly made $ 8/hour plus $200 per match. These increased figures have them pocketing a cool $375,000 annually.
