Marjorie Taylor Greene recently revealed that Donald Trump is targeting those who voted in favor of the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. This revelation comes after she claimed in April that the President wanted to block the release of the files. She alleged that Trump had also given instructions regarding the aforementioned to former US Attorney General Pam Bondi.
MTG claims Donald Trump is coming after people who voted for Epstein files release
According to The Daily Beast, Marjorie Taylor Greene recently fired shots at Donald Trump. She alleged that he is coming after those who voted to release the files related to convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein.
In her tweet in X (formerly known as Twitter), MTG wrote, “There were only 4 of us, Republicans, that signed the discharge petition to force the vote to release the Epstein files. Thomas Massie, Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and myself. Trump has come after us one by one ever since then. The President told Speaker Johnson not to allow the vote to happen, but we courageously went against the President and refused to budge and overrode the Speaker to force the vote on record.”
Taylor Greene further conveyed that Republicans were “absurdly obedient to the President” and weren’t voting yes to release the Epstein files. According to her, their decision changed only when all members of Congress expressed support for releasing the files.
She hinted that the ongoing wars and rising living costs are being done so that “the Epstein class remains protected,” as not all the files have been released yet.
Moreover, Taylor Greene asserted that she will not back away from her decision to support the release of the Epstein files. She wrote, “I will never regret signing that discharge petition, refusing to back down, and resigning as I want nothing to do with a President and a Party that bows to the Epstein class.”
