Throughout its 28-season run, South Park has poked fun at a slew of high-profile individuals, including Donald Trump. The animated show’s humorous NSFW depiction of the president has been one of its most celebrated recurring gags, and South Park creators have now explained how they created the sequence in the first place.
South Park duo talks about NSFW Donald Trump scene
During their recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone demonstrated how they showcase Donald Trump with a micropenis in their show.
The episode kicked off with Kimmel asking the duo, “Why aren’t you guys in a gulag somewhere, shackled down in a basement?” Parker had a simple reply to the late-night talk show host’s question, who stated, “We don’t get out that much, but we hide behind cartoons.”
Sometime later, the South Park creators touched down on their NSFW depiction of Donald Trump, stating, “In that season of ‘South Park,’ we did a deep-fake of the president. We actually brought our deepfake AI rig to show you how we did Donald Trump’s weiner on the show.” Parker then whipped out a piece of fake foreskin, with a pair of doodly eyes drawn on it.
As he wiggled it in front of the camera, a smitten Jimmy Kimmel quipped, “If he doesn’t burn down the Smithsonian, I hope that that winds up in the Smithsonian someday.” Later in the episode, Kimmel also slipped the fake foreskin onto his finger and jokingly said to it, “Hello, little fella. Why are you making so much trouble?”
The South Park creators also broke down their decision to present Vice President JD Vance as a confused version of Fantasy Island’s Tattoo, stating, “It was just gonna be a one-off joke — this joke about Mar-a-Lago being kind of like ‘Fantasy Island’ — and we were like, ‘Oh, we’re just gonna have him be Tattoo, and it’s gonna be one shot.’ And we all just loved it so much, and we loved him as a little character.”
