Last year, Jennifer Lopez stirred up dating rumors with co-star Brett Goldstein during the filming of “Office Romance.” However, recent sources have claimed there is no reality to them. Netflix announced the upcoming workplace romantic comedy film in April. Since then, Lopez and Goldstein’s public appearances have led to speculations about a real-life romance.
Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are nothing but ‘textbook Hollywood showmance,’ claims source
In his May 21 Substack post, industry insider Rob Shuter claimed that those dating rumors about Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are actually a Hollywood strategy. An insider described it as a “textbook Hollywood showmance.” Those flirty stares, red carpet chemistry, and just the right amount of mystery are allegedly part of a tried-and-tested PR playbook.
One insider told Shuter, “This is a textbook Hollywood showmance. The movie needs heat, Brett wants leading-man attention, and Jennifer has mastered the art of keeping people talking.” Some other sources have added that Lopez is glad to fuel those speculations as she continues to move forward in her life after her split from Ben Affleck.
Another insider joked, “Let’s just say Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson looked far more believable as a couple. Jennifer and Brett know exactly what they’re doing — and it’s working.” For those unversed, Anderson and Neeson pulled a similar move last year while promoting “The Naked Gun.”
Sources have also claimed that while Lopez and Goldstein are not in a romantic relationship, they have a good working relationship. The duo allegedly enjoys each other’s company. “Jennifer understands the power of perception,” one insider explained. “People love seeing her adored by handsome co-stars. It keeps her relevant, glamorous, and tied to a fantasy audiences want to believe.”
The insider added, “There’s real chemistry on screen. Off camera, this is business, branding, and smart promotion — nothing more.” Lopez stars as Jackie Cruz and Goldstein portrays Daniel Blanchflower in the film scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 5.
