Brittany Cartwright is breathing a little easier. Earlier this week, The Valley star was reportedly swimming in debt, owing close to $500,000. She hired CPA Christopher Fank to investigate the matter further.
The reality star was spotted at the LAX airport in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening. She was coming home to celebrate her nephew’s high school graduation. She admits that the whole tax situation left her with quite a headache.
The Valley star says things are resolved

It appears Brittany is off the hook. Speaking in a video to TMZ, the reality star said that her tax problems are “fixed”. Her issues stemmed from filings dating back years, including those from 2019. She joking says that that back then she couldn’t enough money to justify a $500,000 tax bill.
The California Tax Board publishes a list of the top 500 largest tax delinquencies of over $100,000. Brittany was apparently on that list. Her CPA, however, believed the balance due was incorrect and tied to apparent “phantom income,” he said. His investigative skills are apparently pretty good.
At the airport, Brittany was in good spirits and seemed to be looking forward to what’s ahead. Her CPA worked with the California Franchise Tax Board to help resolve the problem. The two had to submit proof that Brittany isn’t on the hook for all that money. Judging from Brittany’s demeanour at the airport and her cheerfulness, Christopher was convincing enough to the powers that be at least.
News of her huge tax bill surfaced earlier this week. On Season 2 of The Valley, she admitted that her fear was that Jax Taylor might “leave and stick me with that $14,000 a month mortgage.”
