In her exclusive statement to TMZ about her breakup with Alex Rodriguez, Jaclyn Cordeiro said, “To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families.” She also said, “We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.”
Additionally, Cordeiro explained, “I’m also navigating a serious health matter involving a family member at this time, so my focus is understandably there,” adding, “Alex and I continue to be very close.” She pleaded, “Out of respect for everyone involved especially our daughters and loved ones I’d kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves.”
A source close to A-Rod supported Cordeiro’s statement, telling TMZ that the two separated roughly two months ago and that there is nothing ugly or messy between them, as they continue to respect each other.
Rodriguez and Cordeiro first turned heads together in October 2022. They made their relationship Instagram official that December with a holiday shot that included his daughters. By January 2023, they were courtside at an NBA game, right out in the open.
Over the next couple of years, fitness became their thing, with Rodriguez crediting Cordeiro’s JACFIT program for helping him drop over 30 pounds. Notably, their social media feeds were full of workout videos and sweaty selfies.
Now, Alex Rodriguez and Jaclyn Cordeiro reportedly plan to keep their families friendly. Given how these things usually go in the spotlight, that is probably the best ending to their relationship.
