Prince William opened up about Kate Middleton’s health after the Italy trip. The Princess of Wales recently made her first solo tour following a cancer diagnosis in 2024. In his interview, the former gave an update on his wife’s recovery following the two-day trip.
Prince William gives update on Kate Middleton amid Italy trip
In his interview with “Heart Breakfast,” Prince William discussed Kate Middleton’s health and recovery after the Italy trip. “I’m so proud — incredibly proud. She’s been amazing,” the Prince of Wales expressed. He added, “She’s been through so much in the last couple of years, particularly. And yeah, she’d been looking forward to the Italian trip a lot. And so I’m really glad it went really well.” The 43-year-old also shared how Middleton wanted to do “lots of research” for the tour.
The Prince of Wales continued that the mother of three “spends, God knows how much time now, looking through all the paperwork.” He further explained, “She’s a proper pro on early years. Most evenings I’m fighting to get past in the bedroom, what paperwork that she’s got lined up, ready to read.” The royal revealed that the tour “went well for her,” and that she returned “buzzing.” William continued showering praises on his better half. “She’s an amazing mom, an amazing wife, and literally our family could cope without her,” he noted. William added, “She’s been absolutely stunning. Really has.”
However, he mentioned they are being cautious as Middleton resumes royal duties. “It’s kind of just sort of edging herself back into doing more and more of those trips,” he stated. William continued that “away trips” ended up taking a lot out of one as one is “on sort of permanent receive and send the whole time.” He explained, “And so, we have to balance that—make sure she’s okay and rested. But, yeah, she’s in good form.” Weeks back, PEOPLE also reported how the Italy trip plays an important role in Middleton’s recovery. “[This visit] is an important step in the princess’s recovery journey. She takes great joy from this work,” a royal aide shared.
