Donald Trump may have his critics who describe him as a racist. However, UFC president and CEO Dana White doesn’t seem to agree with this notion at all. In a recent interview, the veteran businessman came to the president’s defense, claiming that Trump cannot be a racist due to his prolonged friendship with the late pop superstar Michael Jackson.
Dana White talks about Donald Trump in new interview
Dana White made an appearance on The New Yorker Radio Hour. A long-term supporter of Donald Trump, he made a peculiar remark defending the racism claims made against the president. He denied all such accusations, stating that he had been friends with Michael Jackson for a long time and had even supported him during his difficult periods.
“These things that he’s a racist and he’s a Nazi, and he’s this and that – I mean, Donald Trump, all this stuff’s coming out now,” Dana White remarked. “You know, the Michael movie just came out, and you see all these videos now popping up of Trump defending Michael Jackson and the type of person that he was, and that Michael Jackson was around his children and around his family a lot.”
Upon listening to the UFC president’s explanation, host David Remnick retaliated. He noted, “But wait a minute, Dana – Michael Jackson – as talented as he was, as brilliant as he was, was a deeply, deeply flawed human being, to say the least, and was abusive [from] everything we know about him.”
White seemed to question the statement against Jackson before reiterating his side of the story. “I don’t know if that’s true, but I can tell you the president had a very good relationship with Michael Jackson and had Michael Jackson around his kids all the time. And you know, [Trump] defended him when that stuff was going down. So to call the guy a racist is crazy. He’s not a racist,” he exclaimed.
Dana White chose not to address Donald Trump’s AI-generated images of Barack Obama. Also, he did say that the president is “not a racist. He’s not a fascist. He loves this country. And if you’re an American – race, religion, whatever it is – President Trump is on your team.”
