Chrissy Teigen’s Raisa Vanessa Gown Couldn’t Possibly Be More See-Through

Chrissy Teigen made a dramatic entrance at the 2026 American Music Awards in a striking Raisa Vanessa gown. The model and television personality stepped onto the blue carpet in a shimmering orangish-red beaded column dress that appeared almost completely see-through under the lights.

Chrissy Teigen takes on AMAs in fully see-through Raisa Vanessa gown

The strapless gown featured an all-over open crystal mesh construction that hugged Chrissy Teigen’s silhouette from top to bottom. While the dress looked nearly transparent from afar, a red colored solid underlayer subtly lined the design before ending around her ankles. This allowed the fully sheer beaded hem to pool onto the carpet for an even more dramatic effect.

The intricate beading created a fishnet illusion across the body, giving the gown its revealing aesthetic while still maintaining structure. The fiery bright tone added even more impact against the AMAs’ cool-toned backdrop. This made the look impossible to miss on the carpet.

Teigen kept the styling intentionally minimal to let the gown dominate the moment. She paired the dress with soft glam makeup, nude lips, blush cheeks, and a sleek shoulder-length bob with wispy bangs that framed her face. The overall styling did not compete with the heavily embellished fabric.

Standing beside husband John Legend, who wore an oversized monochromatic tan suit layered with a long belted trench coat, the pair delivered one of the night’s most fashion-forward couple appearances. The contrast between Legend’s relaxed tailoring and Teigen’s body-hugging crystal mesh dress created an elevated balance on the carpet.

The daring Raisa Vanessa design also sparked conversation online, particularly because of its illusion-like transparency and delicate detailing. From certain angles, the sheer beading appeared completely exposed under the camera flashes, while the hidden lining underneath maintained the gown’s wearable structure. The ultra-tight silhouette and restrictive structure appeared to make walking difficult, with Teigen carefully stepping across the carpet.
