Whether or not Summer House star Ben Waddell wanted to “f*ck his mate’s missus” became quite the topic of conversation on Season 10. It all started when Amanda Batula alluded that something had previously happened between herself and Ben at a wedding. Now, he says she’s backtracked on that claim.

To recap, on Season 10 of Summer House, Amanda suggested that Ben wanted to have sex with her while she was still married to Kyle Cooke. This allegedly happened at an overseas wedding they all attended, which also saw Amanda and Ben go skinny dipping together.
“Ben and I met at my best friend’s wedding in Italy while we were skinny dipping,” Amanda said when introducing him on the show. “We really got to know each other at that point, fully nude.” She then claimed Ben had discussed wanting to sleep with her in a group text – an allegation he denied.
As mentioned, the question of whether or not Amanda and Ben hooked up – or even wanted to – became a source of contention in the Hamptons, particularly when Bailey Taylor brought it up one night at dinner, prompting an explosive response from Ben.
Now, weeks after those episodes aired, and ahead of the second instalment of the reunion, Ben has taken to social media to suggest Amanda backtracked on her side of the story.
“There’s no group text. It’s fully untrue,” Ben said on Threads of Amanda’s claim. “She took it back at the reunion and said she ‘over exaggerated’ that story.”
“Hope that clears that,” he went on.
“Oooohhh, I hope they show that at the reunion,” a fan said in response. “Never believed her for a second,” someone else added.
Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, and streams on Peacock the following day.
