Caitlyn Jenner Triumphs in Legal Battle Over Sophia Hutchins’ Data After Her Death

A new legal development involving Caitlyn Jenner and the estate of the late Sophia Hutchins has unfolded nearly a year after her death. A Los Angeles County judge reportedly granted a request that could give Hutchins’ family access to years of personal information stored in her private Apple accounts.

The ruling marked a significant step in ongoing estate proceedings connected to Hutchins, who was widely known for her close personal and professional relationship with Jenner. Court documents reportedly showed that Hutchins’ mother is now authorized to seek access to digital records tied to multiple accounts.

Apple ordered to provide Sophia Hutchins’ private accounts to her estate

According to court filings obtained by TMZ, a judge approved a request from Hutchins’ mother, Amy L. Andrus, who serves as the administrator of her daughter’s estate. The order directed Apple to assist with recovering information associated with Hutchins’ accounts.

Several accounts listed in the filing reportedly included email addresses linked to business ventures, personal communications, and organizations connected to Caitlyn Jenner. The court order authorized efforts to recover data stored within those accounts, which could potentially include emails, documents, and other personal records.

Importantly, the ruling did not reveal what information the estate was seeking or why access to the accounts was considered necessary. However, the judge reportedly acknowledged that the records could contain sensitive information, including personally identifiable data and communications involving third parties.

The order became effective immediately after being signed, clearing what appeared to be a major legal obstacle for the estate.

Sophia Hutchins died in July 2025 following an ATV crash near Jenner’s Malibu-area home. She was 29 years old. Her death came as a shock to those who had followed her long-standing partnership with the former Olympian and reality television star.

Over the years, Hutchins became a prominent figure in Jenner’s inner circle, helping manage various business and public-facing projects while also building ventures of her own.
