Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly trying to recover hundreds of thousands of dollars from the estate of her late manager and close confidante, Sophia Hutchins. The legal filing comes less than a year after Hutchins’ tragic death in an ATV accident shocked Jenner’s inner circle.
According to RadarOnline.com, Jenner filed court documents in March claiming Hutchins owed her more than $430,000 before her death and is now asking the estate to repay the alleged debt.
Caitlyn Jenner’s late manager Sophia Hutchins passed without paying alleged $430k debt
RadarOnline.com reported that Jenner’s filing claimed Hutchins borrowed large sums of money beginning in late 2024. The reality star allegedly covered expenses using both cash and her personal credit and debit cards.
Court documents reportedly stated Jenner loaned Hutchins more than $280,000 through various card transactions, along with an additional $7,150 in direct cash payments. The filing alleged that much of the spending involved purchases tied to antiques, landscaping, Shopify expenses, and eBay transactions.
Jenner is also reportedly seeking reimbursement for nearly $10,000 in accumulated credit card interest connected to the alleged spending.
The filing did not stop there. Jenner further claimed Hutchins owed more than $133,000 tied to legal fees after the pair were jointly sued and hired the same attorney.
At the center of the latest legal battle is also a request involving Apple. Jenner reportedly wants Apple Inc. to release access to Hutchins’ Apple ID so she can retrieve what court documents described as “work-related information” stored on her devices.
The unusual dispute comes months after Hutchins died in July following an ATV crash near Jenner’s California property. Authorities ruled the incident an accident after Hutchins’ ATV reportedly collided with another vehicle before plunging down a ravine.
Hutchins, who first met Jenner in 2015, later became both her manager and one of her closest companions. Over the years, the pair frequently shut down rumors suggesting their relationship was romantic.
Now, the legal filing has placed fresh attention on Jenner’s finances and her complicated professional relationship with Hutchins before her death. Estate attorney Matthew Erskine reportedly suggested Jenner may ultimately need “substantial evidence” to successfully prove the alleged debt claim in court.
