Kimmel openly criticized the strategies used by former reality star Spencer Pratt, who is running for mayor in Los Angeles, following the playbook of former Apprentice star and current US President Donald Trump. “It seems like you might want to get in touch with reality before you vote for a candidate from a reality show,” Kimmel warned the audience.
Kimmel was ruthless on the Republican candidate, saying that Pratt has been “doing a lot of screaming” to attract the attention of voters. He added that both the current president and the mayoral candidate have risen from reality shows by courting controversies.
He also observed that Trump’s post-writing spree is at an all-time high, with the president posting “nonstop nonsense” on Truth Social.
Kimmel admitted there are real problems in LA, including homelessness, fires, and crime, but discouraged the public from voting for Pratt, saying he just wanted to leverage his win to regain his fame and be in the spotlight again.
