Gia Giudice wants her father home, and she has spent the past year telling anyone who will listen. The 25-year-old daughter of Teresa Giudice said she was still doing whatever she could to secure a pardon from President Donald Trump for Joe Giudice.
The US deported Joe to Italy in 2019 after he completed his prison sentence. Joe was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to fraud charges. He completed his sentence before being deported in 2019.

Speaking to FOX 5 New York on Wednesday, the Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter said she had visited her father regularly and planned another trip the following Tuesday. She also revealed the family’s newest legal move.
“And you know, we just filed a humanitarian packet for him, just kind of trying to do everything we can to get him pardoned and hopefully come back, or even just on visitation,” Gia said.
She framed the campaign as something any family would attempt. “We’re still actively working through that and trying everything we can. I mean, I think any family would want their dad home. Any daughter or child would want their father home.”
Her push began roughly a year ago, though, and the trigger came from another reality television family. Once Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley regained their freedom, she saw a path for Joe.
“Watching the Chrisley family receive a second chance inspired me. It showed me that people can be forgiven, that families can be restored and that sometimes the justice system has room for grace,” she said in an Instagram video. “That gave me hope. Hope that maybe my dad could come home, too.”
Joe addressed Trump directly and leaned on his years in New Jersey.
“I served my time, and I’ve been deported from the US for nearly a decade,” Joe said. “I was raised in Jersey, I’m a father of four amazing daughters, and I just want to be allowed to visit them again. President Trump, I respect you and I’m asking for a second chance.”
A court sentenced Joe and Teresa in 2014 for bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. The couple divorced in 2020. The Chrisleys, meanwhile, faced convictions for tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and obstruction of justice.
Gia currently appears in the 11-episode second season of Next Gen NYC, which airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
