One of the new Love Island USA contestants seems to bear an uncanny resemblance to a slain political influencer. Social media has been buzzing about Bryce Detloff since the new season of the show premiered on Tuesday. Many believe the model and DJ looks an awful lot like Charlie Kirk.
While Charlie was assassinated in September at a rally in Utah, he’s been talked about prominently in the news to this day. Now he’s got reality TV fans’ attention and Bryce generating more attention as a result.

Charlie had a polarizing public impact, but audiences seem united in the notion that he resembles Bryce. On X, many people weighed in on that theory. One user said, “I keep having to do double takes” when looking at Bryce and the resemblance they believe he shares with Charlie. “So it WAS a lie. He’s alive and just fixed his f*cked up hairline,” another suggested.
Someone else molded a picture of Charlie and Bryce’s faces together. Some of the comments on that post suggested the two were spitting images of each other. “Reincarnation is real,” shared another user. In addition to working as a DJ and model, Bryce also claimed to be a handyman. “If anyone breaks your house, let me know,” said Bryce on the premiere episode.
Following a series of heated challenges in the first episode, Bryce was paired up with Trinity Tatum. The two, however, were tempted by a bombshell twist and chose to separate and explore new connections. Bryce was raised by his grandmother and says he hopes to bring a fellow Islander home to her after the show.
Charlie’s memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, drew over 100,000 people. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance were among those attending. His widow, Erika, has served as Turning Point USA’s CEO since his death.
She’s made plenty of headlines, good and bad, in the aftermath of her husband’s death. In December, it was revealed that she referenced Taylor Swift when discussing Charlie’s service. She wanted a Taylor concert to pale in comparison to Charlie’s funeral.
