Alex Cooper has put an end to the rumors about her marital issues with Matt Kaplan. The 31-year-old addressed the topic during her podcast, saying, “Matt and I are good. No one needs to worry. Matt and I are great.”

Rumors about tension in their marriage began in May 2026 after a source told the Daily Mail that the couple was not currently sleeping in the same bedroom. The source mentioned, “There’s a lot of tension in their marriage right now. Matt fully courted Alex and was so sweet with her in the beginning. Once they moved in together, that’s when things changed.”
In a June 10 episode of Call Her Daddy, titled My Pregnancy Story, the 31-year-old podcaster said, as per Us Weekly, “You read those things, and Matt and I are like, no one in our life, our closest friends, our family, is wondering those things. It is crazy to see the internet be like, ‘Oh my God, they’re on the rocks.’ And we’re like, “Wait, wait. We are? What’s happening?’ I think that is an odd part of the job that I don’t enjoy.” Adding, “but Matt and I are good. No one needs to worry. Matt and I are great.”
Cooper, who announced her pregnancy on May 17, also said she had planned to keep the pregnancy private until August or September, but noted that things did not “work as expected,” according to People.
The couple attended an event in mid-May at the YouTube TV Upfronts in New York City. “The only rumors that actually came from the carpet is just how miserable my husband and I looked. I said, ‘Babe, that is a win for a win for a win.’ These people, you guys are dissecting Matt and my body language together on the carpet, saying, ‘This looks like an arranged marriage. Like, this relationship looks like a business deal.'”
Cooper and Kaplan met on a Zoom business call and ended up going on a dinner date soon after. The couple later got engaged in April 2023 before tying the knot in April 2024. Cooper told Vogue at the time, “We cried, we kissed, we celebrated, and it was the most magical night of my life.”
