In the new W photoshoot, she posed in a striking, minimalist black Gucci maxi dress that played with asymmetry and negative space. Crafted from a lightweight, subtly semi-sheer jersey fabric that tightly contoured her body, the gown featured a sophisticated, high turtleneck and long sleeves.
The true drama of the dress was in its dangerously high slit and the cutout around her right sleeve. The slit began at the hip and extended all the way down to the hem of the skirt. It revealed her entire right leg and created a bold, statuesque line. On the opposite side, the dress draped effortlessly down to the ankle, balancing the extreme exposure with clean, fluid lengths.
Styled by Brian Molloy, Bundchen leaned into the less-is-more editorial aesthetic. She paired the avant-garde, bold dress with classic, pointed-toe black leather stiletto pumps, also from Gucci. The shoes elongated her frame and maintained the monochromatic color story of her look.
