RFK Jr.’s sister, Kerry, detailed an incident in which he carelessly handled a snake. She revealed that her brother caught the snake with one hand while carrying his son in the other. Initially, he moved the snake into a bag with a vole, then took it out bare-handed. When RFK Jr. went to his house down the street, he unexpectedly tossed that snake into a pool full of children.
Kerry Kennedy’s account of RFK Jr.’s pool incident
In a recent conversation with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Kerry detailed the time when she asked her brother, RFK Jr., an animal lover, to help her catch a snake she spotted in the backyard. This happened during her daughter’s birthday party. She revealed that her daughter and friends were playing when she spotted a snake and immediately called RFK Jr., who lived nearby. Her brother rushed to her place, with his son, Aiden, in one hand and a pillowcase in the other. She said he caught the snake and stuffed it into the pillowcase while holding his child. “So that was a little scary,” Kerry said, referring to the events.
Sheaddded that RFK Jr. and his son approached the other kids playing in the garden. He pulled the snake out of the pillowcase to show them. The reptile then chomped on his hand before RFK Jr. picked up a bag and put it inside. He also held a vole by the tail and tossed it into the same bag. Later, they headed to the HHS house, where a couple of kids were playing in the swimming pool. She alleged, ” And he released this snake, that had chomped on his hand, into the swimming pool.”
Revealing the two sides of RFK Jr.’s personality and voicing concerns on the pool kids’ safety, she added, “This is somebody who, on the one hand, has a fascination with nature. But on the other hand, has, you know, a great lack of judgment when it comes to the safety and care of children.” She further questioned, “And so, is this the person who you want running [the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services]?”
