Erling Haaland Mistakes Marilyn Monroe Look-Alike for Sydney Sweeney

This moment happened in a recently posted YouTube video by KSI. It was during a game where several celebrity doppelgängers showed up, and the panel had to rate their resemblance.

Erling Haaland recently appeared in KSI’s video titled “Best Celebrity Lookalike Wins $1,000.” It was a hilarious video where several celebrity look-alikes arrived for the panel to guess, and on a scale of 1 to 10, they had to rate how much they resembled their original counterparts. What particularly caught everyone’s attention was a moment from the show where a woman came dressed up as Marilyn Monroe. She sported the iconic blonde hair and red lipstick, with a white dress on.

As she entered the stage, KSI was quick to guess that she was Monroe’s look-alike. However, Haaland didn’t share the same thought. He mistook the woman for Sydney Sweeney. He said, “I thought it was Sweeney at first. I was thinking of her.” This moment from the episode quickly went viral on the internet, with fans sharing their reactions.

A user said, “I genuinely cannot find any resemblance between them, except for the fact that they are both blonds.” Another added, “Bro really looked at Marilyn Monroe and said, ‘Sydney Sweeney.’” A third mentioned, “The confidence was 100%, the accuracy… not so much.” A fourth said, “KSI was losing it while Haaland confidently got the wrong celebrity.”

Earlier this year, there had been massive backlash around an X post that compared Sweeney to Monroe. It stated that the Euphoria actress is this generation’s Monroe. The post garnered massive attention and soon became a topic of debate (via Newsweek). Last year, Sweeney also channeled Monroe’s look during the premiere of ‘The Housemaid’ at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
