West Wilson broke his silence about his exit from Summer House before Season 11. The beleaguered reality TV star faced interrogation anew on social media and shared his side of leaving the show. He shared that he wanted to break the news on his own, but that it was definitely true.
The reality star is leaving amid his Amanda Batula scandal-laden romance
West appeared on a two-part Instagram breakdown of the Summer House scandal by the Broadcast Boys. They did not go easy on him, either. It was quite telling. In the videos, West addressed several elements of Scamanda, his ex Ciara Miller, and his Bravo departure.
He was forthcoming about leaving Summer House, although he would have preferred to release the information on his own.
“I wanted to tell it on my own,” West admitted when asked about being fired from Bravo. “But that is true. Uh, but in their defense, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer. We’ll take the TO (timeout) hit the penalty box.”
Rumors about West being let go circulated after the reunion, where he was grilled by castmates about his relationship with Amanda Batula, the estranged wife of Kyle Cooke. He seemed quite detached, which drew even more criticism. Fans weren’t surprised he may be exiting the show.
An insider revealed to US Weekly that the decision for West to leave was mutual, and West felt like his time on the show was coming to an end. He may appear in Summer House or In the City in the future, especially if his relationship with Amanda continues.
Alongside leaving Summer House, West also addressed the rumors about the video of him and Amanda “canoodling.” This made them release their statement right away. He said he hasn’t seen the video, but that he has heard it is true and does exist, and was “very illegal.”
“I guess I’ve always thought in New York there’s an unspoken rule that we can all see each other across our f*cking windows and balconies, like, don’t film each other,” West said.
Well, there is also an unspoken rule about not usually pursuing a friend’s ex, but that’s neither here nor there.
