Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported plans for their upcoming UK visit are said to be causing concern behind palace walls. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to travel with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet next month, a series of reported developments has sparked fresh speculation about how the trip could unfold and how senior royals like Prince William, Kate Middleton, and King Charles are reacting. In fact, it has left a few of the Royal family members feeling rather confused and uneasy about the whole situation.

According to royal commentator Richard Eden, an unexpected decision involving Althorp House, Princess Diana’s childhood home in Northamptonshire, has fueled rumors that Harry and Meghan could make a private family visit to the Spencer estate. The property, which is typically open to visitors throughout July and August, is reportedly scheduled to close for two days during the Sussexes’ time in the UK.
Eden suggested the visit could allow Archie and Lilibet to visit their late grandmother’s resting place for the first time. The reported plans come amid claims that King Charles has offered accommodation at one of the royal residences for Harry and his family during their stay. At the same time, reports have suggested the couple may be accompanied by a documentary crew filming content related to Prince Harry’s Invictus Games work, a possibility that has reportedly unsettled some members of the royal family.
According to Woman’s Day, Prince William is said to view the situation as a “dangerous gamble,” while sources claim both he and Kate, Princess of Wales, have been left “uneasy” by the combination of the accommodation offer, the reported Althorp visit, and speculation surrounding a potential film crew. The publication’s source alleged that William is concerned about the possibility of further tensions arising from the highly anticipated trip.
Despite the speculation, none of the reported plans regarding Althorp House, Buckingham Palace accommodation, or the involvement of a documentary crew have been officially confirmed by Buckingham Palace or representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
