Brad Pitt’s Ex-Wife Angelina Jolie Shares Rare Update on Love Life Since Divorce

Angelina Jolie says dating has not been part of her life since her divorce from Brad Pitt. Her focus has remained on her children and family over the past decade. While promoting her new film, the Oscar-winner reflected on how the role made her rethink love, motherhood, and her own identity. She also shared how her children, now older, are helping her reconnect with parts of herself she felt she had lost.

Jolie revealed to Yahoo Entertainment that she has not been in a relationship since her separation from Brad Pitt in 2016. Looking back on the past decade, she said raising her children became her priority, leaving little room for romance.

“To be candid, I haven’t dated since I divorced a decade ago,” she said, adding that she gradually began to believe that part of her life was no longer central because her attention was on “my children” and “my family.”

The actress shares six children with Pitt, namely Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. The former couple met while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005 and married years later before Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. Their legal battle continued for eight years before the divorce was settled in December 2024.

Jolie said portraying Maxine in Couture changed how she viewed the balance between motherhood and personal happiness. Her character is devoted to her daughter but also experiences love while confronting serious health challenges.

Reflecting on the role, Jolie admitted it reminded her that a woman can embrace both parts of her life. “She can also love her daughter… and also need this as a woman and receive this as a woman,” she said.

The film also prompted Jolie to reflect on her own life beyond relationships. She said watching her daughters grow into young women has encouraged her to reconnect with the person she used to be. “They’re bringing me back to my old self,” she said.
