Millie Bobby Brown is seeing her career through a new lens. Motherhood has changed the script. The actress has opened up about how becoming a mom has shifted her choices on and off screen. Her baby girl now plays a big role in the projects Brown wants to take on next.
The actress says becoming a mom has transformed how she picks acting projects and the example she wants to set
Millie Bobby Brown got candid while promoting Enola Holmes 3. According to People, Brown told Access Hollywood that parenting her daughter has shaped the way she thinks about acting roles. The Stranger Things star said that since becoming a mom, “everything is about her.” Brown added that she wants to bring more female characters to the screen, not just for herself, but for the world her daughter will grow up watching.
That does not mean Brown expects her little girl to follow in her footsteps. Instead, she appears focused on setting an example. She wants young girls to see women leading stories, solving problems, and taking up space. Fittingly, that philosophy aligns closely with the spirit of Enola Holmes.
The conversation about Millie Bobby Brown’s parenting decisions comes after a major year for the actress and Jake Bongiovi. Brown and Bongiovi announced in August 2025 that they had welcomed a baby girl through adoption. The couple also asked for privacy as they began their new chapter as a family of three.
Motherhood has changed more than Brown’s work calendar. In a UNICEF video, Brown said her life has “changed in a lot of ways” since becoming a parent. She also said she wants her daughter to grow up knowing “girls supporting girls” and “women achieving their dreams.”
Meanwhile, while speaking to Allure, Brown said she hopes her daughter learns that self-expression should feel fun, playful, and free. For now, the actress appears to be choosing roles with a renewed sense of purpose. She is not just picking the next big project. She is also thinking about the little girl who may one day be watching.
