Shaw defended his wife in the comments section of the viral reel, insisting Swifties had mistaken the color of Evans’ dress.

She wore a pale pink, floor-length silk dress, but the video quickly sparked debate online, with several fans claiming the color looked too close to white for a wedding guest, as per PEOPLE. As the criticism gained traction across social media, Shaw stepped in to defend his wife’s outfit.
According to TMZ, Shaw commented, “DRESS IS PINK CHAMPAGNE color for everyone that doesn’t understand lighting.”
Fans, however, were not happy about the clarification. One commented, “Champagne shades are still bridal colors. She looks great but the Internet is not going to like this. Wrong occasion for this dress.” Another one commented, “Too close to white babe,” while a third one commented, “Wayy too white for a wedding yikes.”
Evans’ dress became one of several talking points among Swifties following the wedding. TMZ also reported that Swift wore a Christian Dior gown, a detail that has generated significant interest among fans.
The outlet also revealed new details about the celebration, reporting that there was no formal sit-down dinner. Instead, guests were invited to enjoy a lavish buffet featuring multiple food stations, including one with more than two dozen desserts. The couple reportedly chose catering from Club Zero Brand, while guests were also treated to carnival games and performances by some of Swift’s closest friends, including Stevie Nicks.
Evans’ invitation reflects the close relationship Swift has maintained with members of her Eras Tour team. Many of her dancers are regarded as part of her extended creative family, with Evans becoming one of the more recognizable members thanks to her growing social media following.
