Prince William reportedly believes that Meghan Markle could use the UK trip as material for a future tell-all memoir. As the Sussexes’ trip to the UK draws closer, William’s reported concerns about the purpose of their visit are said to be growing.
While King Charles is reportedly looking forward to seeing his son and his family, William is said to feel differently. Harry stepped down from his royal duties in 2020. The relationship between the once inseparable brothers has reportedly become increasingly strained since then.
Charles reportedly hopes for a reconciliation between the brothers. However, that appears difficult given William’s reported concerns about the Sussexes’ upcoming visit. A report by Heat World suggests that the Prince of Wales is worried about the implications of bringing the Sussexes back into the royal fold.
The report further claims that he is questioning their motives for returning to the UK. According to the source, William believes they may use the trip for networking. Plus, they may also use the trip for promoting As Ever, Markle’s lifestyle brand, in Britain. The source also alleges that he believes they could film parts of the visit and potentially save the footage for a future TV project.
Harry revealed details about the royal family in his memoir, “Spare”. William reportedly believes Markle could do something similar and share more private family details.
The source added, “So he’ll be damned if he’s going to give them any ammunition let alone content, during this visit or any other time, and he’s advising everyone else that they too need to keep their guards way up and avoid seeing the Sussexes if they possibly can, even if it means defying the King.”
