Laura Loomer just made a shocking claim about Mitch McConnell’s health that has everyone talking. Trump’s close ally used reports of home renovations to fuel explosive speculation about the hospitalized senator’s condition.
Laura Loomer used renovation reports to question Mitch McConnell’s health and transparency
Right-wing activist Laura Loomer questioned the timing of renovations at Sen. Mitch McConnell’s Washington, D.C., home. Loomer claimed the work looked like a “massive coverup” while the 84-year-old Kentucky Republican remained hospitalized. She posted her concerns on X nearly four weeks after McConnell suffered a reported heart attack on June 14.
Loomer challenged the logic behind the construction activity during his hospitalization. “Who the hell renovates their floors when they are in the hospital on life support?” she wrote. She also asked, “Why would someone who suffered cardiac arrest at 84 years old renovate their floors?”
The activist, who maintains close ties to senior Trump administration figures, made a grim prediction as well. She said she would not be surprised if McConnell’s office announced he had “peacefully passed away in his sleep.” Loomer described the situation as “very dark and twisted” and suggested a statement could arrive within days. Earlier in the week, she claimed a “high level source close to the White House” told her McConnell was “brain dead.”
Media crews had gathered outside McConnell’s home amid growing public interest in his condition. A TMZ producer spotted a man carrying carpet samples and flooring materials on Friday. The producer also reported that tiles appeared to be under consideration at the residence.
Former McConnell aide Scott Jennings pushed back against the speculation during a CNN appearance on Thursday. He insisted the senator had been “meeting with some of his staff late this afternoon about a few issues.” Jennings rejected claims that McConnell was “dead or a vegetable, according to The Daily Beast.
Meanwhile, neighbors told the Daily Mail that McConnell appeared unwell before his hospitalization. One neighbor recalled seeing him slumped in a wheelchair with a “blank stare.”
At the time of writing, McConnell’s representatives have not yet commented on the situation.
