Former Real Housewives Producer Brands RHOC Star ‘Most Miserable and Narcissistic’ Across ‘Entire Brand’

The Real Housewives of Orange County has returned for Season 20. Also back are Shannon Beador and her “balance issues,” wild shrieks and three pairs of Spanx.

We’ve only seen two episodes so far, but what Teddi Mellencamp refers to as Shannon’s “falling shtick” is already wearing thin.

At least one past RHOC producer agrees with Teddi. Former Housewives producer Patrick McDonald is making his feelings about Shannon’s “performative” antics crystal clear.

Shannon Beador’s RHOC performance has raised some questions

“It’s the most wild thing to see her go from losing her sh*t, yelling, screaming and cussing at producers & crew,” he wrote on Instagram. But when “the cameras turn on … she instantly clicks into this tired old performative schtick.”

Known for her epic meltdowns, Patrick called Shannon, “One of the most miserable and narcissistic housewives across the entire brand.”

We’ve all seen Archie Beador’s mom stumbling around, pretending to lose her balance and trip over her own feet. Offering all of us the chance to learn to act like Shannon, Bravo superfan Heather McDonald posted an Instagram video. At “Shannon Beador’s Acting School,” she teaches potential students how to screech and execute pratfalls just like Shannon. This is where Patrick posted his comment.

Answering the door, Heather says, “Oh, perfect timing! I was just about to walk Raven. Come on!” She leads us to her backyard where she leashes up her pup, getting herself tangled in the leash.

Next Heather decides to wade into the swimming pool, attempting to remove her coverup. Naturally, it gets caught on her sun hat, and she’s screeching the whole time.

Finally, Heather shows off her bikini (worn over her Spanx), while flailing her arms for balance. When she attempts to climb onto a pool floatie, she once again struggles. Sounding just like Shannon, she tells us to “hold on,” while she falls into the pool, shrieking and flailing.

Apparently, the Shannon Beador School of Acting involves a lot of shrieking, flailing, “whoas” and Spanx. If you’re interested, sign up soon, because Heather says spots are “filling up fast.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams the next day on Peacock.
