Terrell Owens decided to offer support to Wells’ family. He joined forces with Tyler Perry and Rev. Al Sharpton to demand answers in Nolan Wells’ death investigation. The retired NFL star pledged an additional $25,000 to the existing investigation reward, boosting it to a massive total of $125,000.

On Tuesday, July 21, Attorney Ben Crump, who represents the Wells family, praised the growing support in a statement. He said that Owens is also actively seeking information leading to an arrest and conviction in the death of 18-year-old Nolan Wells. For the cause, he has personally pledged $25,000 to the investigation reward fund.
“We are deeply grateful to Terrell Owens, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Tyler Perry for standing with Nolan Wells’ family in their pursuit of truth and justice,” Crump said. “Their generosity and unwavering support send a powerful message that this tragedy will not be swept under the rug and that we will not stop until the truth is uncovered and justice is served.”
The attorney has also urged people with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward. He has also emphasized that the investigation reward is specifically tied to securing an arrest and conviction.
Owen’s contribution brings the total reward for actionable efforts in the Nolan Wells death investigation to $125,000. Earlier, Rev. Sharpton and filmmaker Tyler also contributed $50,000 each to the fund.
The NFL Hall of Famer was among the hundreds who attended Wells’ funeral in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He is among the high-listers who have publicly shown their support to the Wells family.
Nolan was reported missing on July 4 after failing to return from a boating trip with friends near Horn Island. His body was recovered from the water on the morning of July 6. However, his official cause and manner of death remain undetermined.
