Donald Trump Has a Habit That Happens After Everyone Goes to Sleep

White House official Tom Homan recently claimed that Donald Trump has a habit of calling his top aides late at night to talk about policies. The president reportedly phones his aides while he is aboard Air Force One. According to Homan, the calls can come as late as 2 a.m. and as early as 4 a.m.

Tom Homan reveals Donald Trump’s bizarre late night behavior

White House Border Czar Tom Homan opened up about a late-night habit of Donald Trump during his recent appearance on Katie Miller’s podcast. Speaking with Miller, who is the wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, Homan revealed that he speaks with the president “several times a week.”

Miller then asked Homan, “What’s the earliest he’s called you in the morning and the latest he’s called you at night?” The law enforcement officer replied, “I’ve gotten calls at 2 a.m. I’ve got calls at 4 a.m. It’s not a wide gap there.”

Homan revealed that Trump often makes these phone calls when he is aboard Air Force One. “There’s times where I’m sleeping, and he calls me late at night because he may be on Air Force One flying from the West Coast,” he shared.

Miller proceeds to ask, “Do you pretend you’re awake when he calls you?” Homan replies, “No. A couple of times he first says, ‘Hey, what are you doing?’ I said, ‘It’s 4:00 in the morning, so I’m sleeping. It’s Sunday.'” The Border Czar added, “One of the phone calls was, ‘Hey, what do you think about ICE in airports?’ I said, ‘I think it’s a brilliant idea.’ He goes, ‘Good, you’re running it starting tomorrow.’”

Trump has been known to keep his aides awake at night with unexpected work phone calls. Earlier this year, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared that the president “sleeps very, very little.” She added, “Very little. Like, maybe four hours a night. It’s crazy. I’m a third his age, and I can’t keep up. I tell him that all the time.”
