Ant Anstead has made a sweet tribute to girlfriend Renée Zellweger on their fifth year anniversary. The couple has largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Anstead offered a glimpse into their largely private relationship. According to Anstead, he was impressed by Zellweger’s car skills when they first met on Celebrity IOU: Joyride in 2021.
He said, “Renée is a hands-on car girl. She used a grinder to cut metal, she was welding, she was on the spanners.” He also went on to say that a deep knowledge of cars is not easy to find.
Recalling one memorable moment, he added, “A lot of people in America don’t drive stick [manual cars] but, on the first day of filming, we needed to relocate a car for a scene.” He then described Zellweger’s enthusiastic response, saying, “Ren jumps in, goes, ‘I’ll do it!’ slams it into first, and off she goes. I’m like, ‘Wow. This lady really knows her cars.’”
Beyond her automotive skills, Anstead also described his girlfriend as grounded and humble, calling her a “very real person.” He continued, “She’s a very real person. She’s absolutely brilliant, the most grounded, humble person. If there’s a car job to be done at home, I say, ‘We’re doing this together. Put your overalls on, let’s go.’”
Despite being together for five years, Anstead said they are in no rush to get married. He explained, “I still believe in marriage, but right now we’re really happy. We don’t need the pressure of a label.”
Meanwhile, in April, Anstead paid a sweet tribute to his longtime girlfriend in an Instagram post. It was captioned, “How it started….. Happy FIVE YEAR anniversary my beautiful lady! Hands down the best human I know! Luckiest boy! I love you my Ren.”
The post featured the couple standing in front of a vintage car, both smiling broadly.
