Prince William and Prince Harry’s estranged relationship seemed to show no sign of reunion. According to an expert, the heir to the throne has reportedly been against his brother’s temporary accommodation near Windsor Castle. It was reported that the Duke of Sussex might return to his homeland for the WellChild Awards this year. Moreover, he could reportedly be offered a stay at the estate.
Royal expert claims Prince William’s firm stance on Windsor accommodation could complicate Prince Harry’s next visit
Prince William would reportedly not want Prince Harry to stay at Windsor Castle. The Royal Observer shared royal commentator Kinsey Schofield’s thoughts, which she spoke on TalkTV’s “The Jeremy Kyle Breakfast Show.”
She stated the Prince of Wales’ stand on the accommodation situation. “Prince William has put his foot down and said he does not want them anywhere near Windsor,” the expert said.
Harry was said to return once again to the UK this year for the WellChild Awards. Reportedly, he was offered to stay near Windsor Castle. However, his eldest brother seemed opposed to the idea. According to him, this was allegedly not an option.
“Prince William made it abundantly clear that Harry and Meghan cannot be offered accommodation at Windsor Castle,” Schofield revealed. Furthermore, she mentioned that this showed that there was “not even an inch of thawing happening between the brothers.” It could reportedly also mean that the future king could complicate his younger sibling’s next visit.
For those unversed, Harry left the royal palace and his duties with his family in 2020. He rebuilt his life in California, but since last year, several reunion reports have surfaced online. Recently, he arrived in the UK for the Invictus Games, sparking curiosity about the royal reconciliation.
Towards the final day of his trip, the duke’s wife, Meghan Markle, and their kids, Archie and Lilibet, reportedly joined him. The family met King Charles and Queen Camilla after four years. It was reported that William and Kate Middleton were unaware of this private meeting.
