Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s UK Return Could Be Bad News for Prince William — Report

A potential return to the U.K. by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is generating fresh speculation. A new report indicates that the move may not be welcomed by all in the royal family, particularly Prince William. After all, the estranged siblings have been at the center of a well-documented rift for years.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will reportedly put Prince William in ‘misery’ with potential UK return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s possible return to the U.K. could reportedly bring fresh challenges for Prince William. According to a commentator, the Sussexes are considering a return to the U.K. The move would aim to create an alternative royal presence when the Prince of Wales becomes king.

Speaking on The Royalist podcast, broadcaster Mark Dolan claimed the couple might establish their own “rival royal court,” partly operating from the U.K. He argued this would “make life a misery” for William and Kate Middleton after their coronation. “Meghan and Harry will make life a misery for King William and Queen Catherine,” Dolan said.

“And they’d love to be in the U.K., I think up to half the year with this rival court, and then it’s going to carry on into the next generation.” He further remarked, “And Archie and Lili, when they’re teenagers and young adults, I predict will make life a misery for George, Charlotte, and Louis.”

In response, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex labelled the comments “deeply distasteful.” “There is a fundamental difference between criticising public figures and choosing to demonise two young children who have done absolutely nothing to warrant it,” they noted. “To speculate that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will one day ‘make life a misery’ for their cousins is an extraordinary and irresponsible thing to say about children. We are genuinely disgusted by these comments.”

The representative emphasized that adults should keep children out of disputes and not portray them as future rivals. They added that most people see it as “a line which simply should not be crossed” (via Daily Express).
