Jill Zarin’s daughter, Ally Shapiro, has revealed that she underwent a boob job after losing 50 pounds through GLP-1 treatment.
Shapiro said her goal was not to look bigger, but to restore proportion to her body.
Ally Shapiro says years of GLP-1 use changed her body and led to cosmetic surgery
Shapiro talked at Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea”, where she shared that her doctor preferred to call the procedure a breast restoration. The term aligned with her goal of restoring a natural look rather than increasing her breast size. She realized that the weight loss from long-term GLP-1 treatment would not naturally restore the volume she had lost.
“I’ve lost about 50 pounds being on a GLP-1 over 10-plus years. While I felt healthier and more confident overall, one thing that really changed was my chest,” Shapiro said. “After the weight loss, I lost a lot of volume and they looked more like pancakes. It happened gradually with the last 10 pounds.”
According to reports, her mother, Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin, suggested cosmetic surgery as an option. The pair quickly consulted Dr. Ira Savetsky about the procedure. Savetsky is known for performing cosmetic procedures on several high-profile clients. He also performed a facelift for Zarin two years ago.
The doctor quickly gained Shapiro’s trust. She said, “He actually referred to it as a ‘breast restoration’ because the goal wasn’t to make my breasts bigger,” she said. “It was simply to restore what I’d lost and keep everything looking as natural as possible.”
Dr. Savetsky described post-weight-loss body transformation as a comprehensive process. He said, “The goal is to restore natural proportions that complement the patient’s new body.”
Shapiro said her decision was about restoring her confidence after losing 50 pounds over more than 10 years of GLP-1 treatment. She explained that the procedure was intended to help her feel more comfortable with the changes to her body.
