Prince Harry has landed another awards shortlist, with his non-profit travel initiative Travalyst earning recognition. The Duke of Sussex’s organisation has been shortlisted for another prestigious honour, adding to his growing list of achievements outside the royal family.
On Monday, August 10, it was announced that Travalyst had been nominated for the Skift IDEA Awards 2026. The non-profit organisation secured a spot in the Travel Technology and Sustainability Tech category.

Prince Harry’s travel company Travalyst earned a place in a new awards shortlist (via Express.co.UK). This good news comes only a few days after Harry and his wife Meghan Markle attended the David Foster Foundation 40th Anniversary Celebration in Canada.
The company expressed its excitement by stating: “We’re excited to announce that we’ve been shortlisted as a finalist in the Skift IDEA Awards 2026! Over 490 entries were submitted from around the world this year.”
For the unversed, the Duke of Sussex founded Travalyst in 2019 with the goal of making the travel industry more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Through the non-profit organisation, Harry has sought to promote more responsible travel practices and encourage the industry to reduce its environmental impact.
However, Travalyst has also drawn criticism, with some critics accusing the Sussexes of hypocrisy over their continued use of private jets despite their environmental advocacy. In fact, the Daily Mail published a report in July claiming that the same year they launched their sustainable travel company, the couple made four such trips in just 11 days.
Prince Harry defended his actions, explaining that there are occasions when he needs to keep his family safe. He said: “I spend 99 percent of my life travelling the world by commercial. Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe.”
Furthermore, the Duke of Sussex confessed that “no one is perfect” and said “we can all do better” when it comes to championing eco-friendly travel choices. Moreover, critics had previously berated Harry when he hired Graham Miller as the new director of Travalyst.
For the uninitiated, according to the Daily Mail, Miller once said: “There was a time when mentioning on a Monday that you’d just flown back from Milan or New York made you sound sophisticated. Now it’s like boasting that you drank five pints and drove home.”
